The Origin Story
I'm Dan. By day, I am a Church Technical Director. My job is to innovate within the church space, implementing powerful, user-friendly technology to streamline operations and enhance the creative process.
But over the last few years, I ran into a massive wall: the subscription model.
It seems like every piece of software—from teleprompters to digital signage to mileage trackers—has shifted to a SaaS (Software as a Service) model. Suddenly, churches, creators, and small businesses are being bled dry by a dozen $30/month fees just to keep the lights on. You stop paying, and the software you rely on instantly shuts down.
I decided to build a better way. I wanted to design professional-grade software that was incredibly easy to use, easy to set up, and—most importantly—only required a single, one-time payment.
The "Bring Your Own Backend" Model
If you want to know why software companies charge monthly fees, the answer is usually server costs. Running a central database to host millions of user accounts requires massive, expensive servers that must be paid for every single month.
To eliminate the monthly fee, I had to eliminate the server. Enter the Bring Your Own Backend (BYOB) model.
The SaaS Way
You pay a monthly fee so the company can store your private data on their expensive central servers. If you cancel your subscription, you lose access to your data and the app.
The GoGo Way (BYOB)
Our software connects directly to your free Google Account. We use Google's world-class infrastructure as your private server. We have zero server costs, so you have zero monthly fees.
By leveraging the backend of a massive enterprise like Google via Google Apps Script, you get an incredibly stable, highly secure database that you already own and trust. Your data never touches my hands, and nobody can lock it behind a paywall.
The 5-Minute Trade-Off
I'll be totally candid: the BYOB model requires a tiny bit of elbow grease on your end. Because I don't host your data, you have to click a few buttons to deploy the backend script to your own Google Drive. It takes about 5 minutes, but the payoff is absolute privacy and a lifetime of using professional software without ever paying a subscription fee again.
We've got your back.
Deploying a serverless backend might sound like something meant for a software engineer, but I have completely streamlined the process. We have built custom installation wizards and created a massive library of plain-English documentation.
If you head over to our Guides & Documentation Hub, you will find step-by-step instructions, complete with GIFs and images, that will walk you through the entire process in minutes.
Do I need a Google Account to use these tools?
Yes. Because the software uses the Bring Your Own Backend model, it requires Google Drive and Google Apps Script to function. However, a standard, 100% free personal Google Account (like a basic @gmail.com address) works perfectly. You do not need a paid Google Workspace account.
Do I need to know how to code?
Absolutely not. When you buy a license, you receive a master Google Sheet. Clicking it automatically copies all the complex backend code directly into your Drive. From there, you just click "Deploy" as outlined in our setup guides. If you can follow basic instructions, you can be up and running in minutes.
Is my data secure?
It is as secure as your Google Account. Because you are deploying the backend script to your own personal Drive, your data is protected by Google's world-class security infrastructure. I do not have a central database, which means I have zero access to your information.
What if I get stuck during setup?
We have meticulously documented every step of the setup process in our Guides Hub. If you still find yourself stuck, your lifetime license includes email support to help you get over the finish line.
